Who we are looking for
The Procurement Team delivers on all aspects of the procurement cycle. As part of our growth strategy in the UK, we are looking to increase the capability and capacity of the Procurement Team in the following 3 key areas:
•   Cost reduction through procurement.
•   Procurement of technology.
•   Technology for procurement.

We are looking for driven and enthusiastic candidates who have experience working on procurement/supply chain engagements, ideally within a technology context, and have the desire to be part of an organisation that develops and delivers innovative solutions to clients.

Our consultants are at the heart of driving the procurement solution forward and are responsible for delivering innovative procurement engagements. You will be able to become a Subject Matter Expert to enhance not only your own skills and reputation but also that of Atos. You will work with senior consultants supporting large value projects and programmes, contribute to enhancing our procurement solution and help drive the procurement community forward.

You will need to be able to create strong relationships with stakeholders and clients and ensure robust delivery across your engagements.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a key client and we are specifically looking for individuals with experience in and an interest in working in the defence sector.

Experience and skills
Essential:

•    2+ years’ experience in the delivery of procurement projects.
•    Experience working with external suppliers.
•    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create a rapport with suppliers, industry and authority personnel.
•    Performance driven and customer focused.
•    Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
•    Excellent organisation skills with a keen attention to detail.
•    Experience using O365 products.

Desirable:
•    An understanding of MOD structures, governance and how the Ministry manages its teams.
•    An interest in, and ideally experience of, digital technologies and their application to enhance business performance and create competitive advantage in defence.
•    Knowledge or experience of public sector procurement regulations (particularly Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR) 2011) and best practice.
•    Project Management experience/qualifications.
•    CIPS qualifications.

A preference will be for candidates who live in the southwest of England, as this is predominantly where we anticipate the individual will be required to work. However, all roles in Consulting normally require travel to varying work locations (predominantly in, but not confined to, the UK) on an as-required basis and successful candidates must also be prepared to stay away from home as necessary, according to need.

The candidate should also hold or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance to work with UK public sector organisations.
