The Opportunity

The ARAA practice represents a growing capability within Atos and currently comprises a talented team of analysts, developers, consultants and architects covering all aspects of the information management lifecycle; from data management through to business intelligence and analytics. The practice is technology agnostic and has capability across a range of technologies, including products from SAP, Oracle, IBM and Microsoft as well as more specialist technology providers such as Qlik, Informatica, Talend, Cloudera and Infoshare.


Atos works with a range of large organisations facing an ever-increasing demand to realise greater value from their data and are seeking the skills to manipulate that data to meet their MI and analytical requirements. Data Management tools (including Talend, SSIS, Datastage, BODS, SAS, Informatica) refer to both data quality routines and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) routines that are used to manage the client data, moving it, changing its shape and loading to target solutions.


We are therefore seeking Data Management Consultants to join our fast-growing team. We are especially interested in consultants with a broad range of technology experience who have the appetite to increase their knowledge in multiple Data Management (ETL) tools.


This role includes the use of Alteryx and SSIS processing data across SQL Server and Oracle databases but good experience in another ETL tool will be sufficient with training provided in Alteryx if required.

  • Development unit testing of ETL routines in Alteryx, SSIS, and using stored procedures to deliver the data management solutions
  • Translating user requirements into data management designs and data models
  • Design and delivery of data mapping rules detailing the transformation of data from source to target
  • Input into the definition of Physical Data Models
  • Working in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
  • Carrying out System Integration Testing
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing


Job Requirements

  • Ability to acquire BPSS or SC clearance (must reside withing the UK&I between 3 -5 years)
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of SSIS ETL tool
  • Demonstrable experience in working in SQL Server and Oracle
  • Demonstrable experience of developing stored procedures
  • Able to demonstrate good analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving
  • Pragmatic and detail orientated
  • Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills
  • Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Great teammate


Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Alteryx
  • Ideally Thoughtspot but training can be given
