The Global Program Architect within Atos acts as the Technical Authority in T&T programs across the solution lifecycle, supporting both bids and the implementation phase during the T&T Programs. The Global Program Architect role is the focal point ensuring technical integrity and ownership of the architecture within a T&T Program assignment, working closely with the Program Director and thus, being a core resource for the success of a T&T project. Working with the Program Director, client, technical engineering and the appropriate customer operation units, the Global Program Architect ensures the end to end implementation of the solution in time and budget, providing technical direction and architectural governance within the T&T Program. He or she should be aware of developments in Atos technical strategy and innovation processes as these evolve and apply them to the specific needs of the account. This is to ensure that the T&T program and client derives maximum benefit from Atos wider experience/perspectives, and solutions and architectures being deployed conform to Atos policies wherever possible.


Job Profile:

  • Act as the technical authority, being responsible for transition and transformation program(s) supporting program management and delivery practices
  • Provide direction and guidance on all technical aspects of the architecture, ensuring adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices, both during Bid Process and T&T project
  • Provide support and guidance to solution and technical architects on bid teams and new business opportunities


Pre-Sales Activities (Project Organization):

  • Provide technical expertise and act as the trusted advisor for the T&T Program, client, industries, global program management and delivery practices
  • Lead cross technology teams during T&T programs to ensure coordinated architecture and achieve a joined approach
  • Improve architecture and costing for the benefit of the solution with delivery expertise and knowledge
  • Work across solution offering/domain practices to identify and accurate delivery gaps in the solution and/or cost case that may impact the delivery or business case of the solution
  • Analyze the customer business and technical requirements to ensure the solution is aligned accordingly. Report back any gaps and possible solutions to the Solutioning team.
  • Encourage and support solving gaps between RFP, statements of work and costing to win a deal
  • With support of the practices, understand or detects the technical risks associated with a solution or project, and develop mitigation strategies and coverage of risks
  • Ensure projects and programs are aligned to the solution and client strategic roadmap, enterprise architecture and Atos Technical Strategy
  • Supplies to the development of the end to end T&T plan during Presales phase.
  • Validate appropriate High-Level Designs (HLDs) are produced as a recognized set of deliverables that are consistent with the solution and costing and which has been specified and sold to the client.


Project (Delivery Management) Activities:

  • Work alongside with the Program Director taking technology and architectural ownership of the solution and costing from Pre-Sales Solution Manager after contract signature and supply to the development of the end to end project plan for a successful T&T
  • Review and approve design and solution documentation built by the practices for the T&T regarding consistency of the overall solution, Atos Service Blueprints, cost coverage and contracted scope.
  • Have an appreciation of technology and architecture and ensure that it is considered and recognized by the Industries and Practices
  • Provide structures, process, and procedures to ensure close collaboration across project teams in respect to architecture topics during T&T
  • Understand delivery breakthroughs and drive collaboration across the partners & practices to achieve project- and delivery targets


Relationship Management:

  • Develop positive relationships with Industries, Practices and GPM Management
  • Work with clients' architecture teams and Atos Pre-sales and practices to ensure solutions are fit for purpose
  • Stay involved in international engagements for specific products and services at Global/Group level
  • Collaborate and review developed Portfolio solutions to improve, develop new or enhance an existing solution
  • Influence industries and practices to optimize and improve solutions and costing
  • Aligned with Atos Partner Management, establish close working relationships with Atos partners and suppliers to ensure their latest offerings and technologies are understood and considered


Commercial Drive:

  • Review and support Solution Managers (during bid phase) and Program Directors (during T&T phase) to chip in commercial viability of solution and drive efficiency through additional innovation and automation
  • Take over the calculation from Solution Manager and support to explain the calculation and its dependencies/rationale to practices and delivery units
  • Ensure appropriate design documentation produced as a recognized set of deliverables that are consistent to the crafted solution and contracted
  • Support Pre-Sales team during Pre-Sales phase, provide appropriate technical commercial recommendations to reach key decision makers' signoff for a given offer
