Job Description  

The Procurement Senior  Manager holds a key role in the Procurement Department and is responsible for obtaining excellent understanding of all new bids, working with the Key stakeholders within Bids, to specify the best and most relevant  3rd Party Suppliers strategies  utilised to provide Competitive Advantage and Supplier Risk Management and Mitigation, including suitable subcontract flow down and  determining how best the Procurement and where relevant, the Global Procurement Organisation, can be engaged and involved.

 

The role will involve:

  • Bid Support - Work with Senior Sales Managers, Presales Manager, Service Managers and Global Procurement Managers in project specific requirements for bids, whilst working with Bid Management in supporting company competitiveness in Sales Bids (where there is 3rd party supplier content).
  • Supplier Relationship Management – proactive supplier management to extract maximum possible value from a contractual ar¬rangement through governance and relationship building. To develop contract, B2B agreements and commercial tools, models, systems and processes to manage suppliers and to ensure the proper investment into the re¬lationship happens. Key areas to cover:

    • Supplier Risk Management
  •  Supplier Management - Accountable for the execution of ongoing (development and assessment) reviews of assigned suppliers collaboratively with key stakeholders through the measurement of performance against pre-agreed Key Performance Indicators.  Performed against published supplier management methodology with output of reviews published.  In addition responsible for managing Company’s relationships with key supply partners to deliver competitiveness, risk reduction and high value service to Company and Company’s customers. Meeting with key suppliers on a regular basis to ensure standards are maintained and requirements are fully understood.
  • Spend Management - Directly accountable for the management of a proportion of the PVO (expenditure) across nominated Procurement Services or in accordance with Material Field structure as defined.   Key KPI to reduce current expenditure through total cost, demand and supply base management activities. Manage Reporting activities in global procurement tool.
  • Contract Negotiations - Responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers (Whether for Project / Bid Specific activities or for Frameworks) in conjunction with the business and legal department, which deliver added value in terms of level of service and value for money whilst significantly managing the risk exposure to Company.

  • Highly motivated and fully autonomous with an ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders across different business areas.
  • Ability to work in a fast, varied environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously to maximise efficient delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to audiences to share the Procurement Strategies and thought leadership.
  • Italian mother tongue/Fluent English language skills: able to communicate with stakeholders on day to day basis in a clear and professional manner.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, able to adapt style as required to persuade and gain support of stakeholders at all levels, previous experience of taking active part and leading negotiations and proven track record of successful stakeholder management.
  • Ability to evaluate, organise and prioritise complex service delivery requirements.
  • Positive attitude, personal drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Creative and innovative spirit with a willingness to learn fast and share learning within the team
  • High degree of integrity 
  • Experience of tracking and recording savings and a history of real achievement against challenging targets whilst working within professional Procurement organisations.
  • Minimum 10 years experience of working within complex fast-paced environments with experience within the procurement , preferably in IT sector
  • Excellent all-round commercial and good IT skills especially in the use of Microsoft office to support decision-making, report writing, and strategic decision making.
  • Can demonstrate a high level of capability of communicating within all levels of a large organisation and confident enough to assist with presentations to senior management and executives within the company. 
  • Established negotiation skills and techniques.
  • Degree Educated.
  • Fluent in English language
