EcoAct - Climate-Energy Manager - Italy

As a member of the South Europe Center of Excellence, the Manager carries out (but not limited to) various sales and consulting assignments for Italian clients, mainly related to carbon strategy, energy policies, eco-innovation approaches, carbon offsetting, risk/opportunity analysis, project development, LCA or marketing and communication strategy for national and international clients.

Responsible for the consulting team based in Italy, the Manager carries out multidisciplinary work in collaboration with various experts located in France and Italy on demanding mandates, advising high level interlocutors (top management of large companies, members of management committees, leaders of NGOs and international institutions, governments and public decision-makers). He/she also interacts at all levels of the organisation for the operational implementation of the projects entrusted to him/her.

As part of an international team, the Manager is encouraged to develop his/her skills, publish and present at conferences locally.

 

Tasks

- Take charge of and implement the projects entrusted by the company's key clients, in Italia and/or internationally;

- Supporting and advising clients by proposing creative and innovative solutions, both in terms of technical and marketing expertise;

- Manage missions independently and the work of the teams of consultants (planning, budget, quality);

- Participate in large-scale multidisciplinary projects;

- Collaborate in awareness-raising training for clients according to the issues addressed;

- Contribute to customer satisfaction (relationship management, maintaining contacts, etc.);

- Monitor and participate in research and development work;

- Manage the local team (recruitment, skill and performance management…);

- Actively contribute to the commercial development of the company by participating in customer proposals and direct prospecting approaches;

- Participate in national or international professional events;

- Contribute to the Italy development strategy (recruitment needs, market assessment, customer expectations…).

PROFILE

The candidate is an Italian native speaker, graduate of an engineering school or university, and has at least 5 years of professional experience in sustainable development strategy consulting and/or climate/carbon project management acquired in aconsulting firm or similar organisation.

Mastery of at least one of the following areas of activity is essential: climate strategy (GHG protocol, carbon footprint, SBT, CDP), LCA, carbon offsetting, carbon markets, carbon sequestration, climate risk modelling.

Beyond his/her technical skills, the candidate will have to demonstrate an expertise in project and customer management. He/she has good interpersonal skills with clients and is driven by a constant concern for business development. Knowledge of the regulatory contexts related to climate change is essential.

Fluency in English is essential (fluency in one or more other languages is a plus).
