The Solution Architect (SA) is a thought leader and an operational and technology expert responsible for developing innovative, creative and compelling solutions required to win profitable new business. Working as part of the Solutions Portfolio & Design team in North America, the role is responsible for developing solutions aligned with the overall strategic direction as laid out by the CTO office. The position includes collaboratively working cross-functionally on solution design and solution costing, providing support in the development of the Statement of Work, proposal responses and customer facing presentations. Candidates should have 10-15 years of operational and/or managerial experience in 2-3 of the required infrastructure specialty areas - as listed below.


• Network - Nexus, NSX, WAN (MPLS etc), Juniper, f5

• Storage - EMC (VNX, VMAX, Isilon, Avamar, Networker, Data Domain, ViPR)

• Virtualization - vSphere, vCloud Suite, vCenter Operations Suite, vRealize

• Compute - Dell, VCE vBlock

• Public Cloud - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform

• Database - Oracle, DB2, MySQL, MS SQL

• Datacenter - DR, Business Continuity, High Availability

• End User - VDI (inc. VMware Horizon & Fusion) & Citrix; MacBook; Windows 8; various form factor devices inc. laptops, tablets, thin client, smartphones, specialist devices etc.

• Applications - a knowledge of Business Intelligence, BPM, CRM, MDM, ERP (especially SAP) and EAM suites - both legacy and 3rd platform implementations.

• Candidates should have very strong communication skills - both written and oral. They need to be comfortable and competent talking in front of customers from both the technical and business side of the house.




• College degree in business related field Experience. 

• 3-5 years of Solution Architecture experience

• Direct interactions with client personnel

• Experience with complex IT projects on a regional or global basis
