Job Title: Junior Application Support Analyst



Job Description:

The Junior Application Support Analyst role involves working as part of our PLM Support team. The role has high customer focus supported with strong technical & leadership skills.

Atos Australia is going through a period of growth and is looking for a customer focused talented candidate to join our team based in Melbourne.


Day-to-day Responsibilities:

The Junior Application Support Analyst role involves working with the Sustainment team of Atos Australia. You will be part of the product development team and as a result will gain valuable insight into how our Customer conducts Engineering Changes, Configuration Management, Asset Management and Sustainment activities, testing of applications, patches and interfaces plus many other aspects of their business.

To be successful in this role you will need strong interpersonal skills, team orientated, a keen eye for detail and the curiosity to find out why things are failing, how they can be resolved and how can the customers get more benefit to their business from our solutions. Strong critical thinking is required to think of out-of-scope solutions to assist the users using the application


Responsibilities And Qualifications


Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role you must hold Australian Citizenship and have the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Information Technology; or 1-2 years of commercial experience working as a database engineer.
  • Strong experience as an Oracle DBA, working across large, complex customer environments.
  • Beginner to Intermediate experience in Microsoft stack
  • Experience building database schemes, tables, procedures and permissions
  • Prior involvement creating shell scripts for task automation
  • Demonstrated expertise restoring and recovering corrupted databases
  • Installing and testing upgrades, patches and implementing security and encryption
  • Strong SQL Background
  • Exposure to Java
  • Experience in Change Management Process
  • Familiarity with MS SQL & Powershell or SQL Development Applications
  • Team-oriented, structured working style combined with good, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to disseminate information to all levels in a clear and concise manner utilising good written, verbal and computer skills
  • Learn and embrace new technologies and openly seek advice from others when unsure of approach or technology
  • Applicants must be willing to undergo a Baseline security clearance and be able to attain Negative Vet 1 (NV1)
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Software Junior Database Engineer or Application Support Role


Desirable Requirements:


  • Customer facing experience and the confidence and ability to communicate at all levels
  • An existing Baseline security is advantageous
  • Practical experience in agile software development or product lifecycle management
  • Experience and knowledge in the Asset Management and Planning System (AMPS)
  • Experience in using Teamcenter (Configuration Management Tool-Unified) or other configuration management such as Maximo.
  • Experience with Automation Testing Tools and Frameworks for web and cloud applications
