Role Description:

We are looking for a dedicated, pro-active and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer to join our Atos team in Madrid. Here you will have the chance to manage infrastructure across cloud environments, with a focus on GCP, using Infrastructure as code in DevOps environments. You will also be an active member of our squad and chapters, supporting colleagues by means of design and code review and driving innovation and improvement ideas. Evangelizing and enabling others to use available code to deploy infrastructure using IaC



  • Own design, delivery and test of low-level designs and infrastructure as code.
  • Deliver and promote automation throughout the platform infrastructure in our data centers and public cloud vendors.
  • Deliver low level platform designs and infrastructure as code, working effectively with other teams as part of an Agile Squad or Scrum.
  • Not committed to any one tool but like to use the right tool for the job.
  • Always leaving things a little cleaner than found.
  • Enjoying using chaos-engineering principles to make the entire system robust.
  • Ensure the platforms are compliant with security policies of Vodafone and industry standards.
  • Update and review code and documentation as required.


For this position we need:

  • Solid cloud infrastructure design and development, ideally in GCP.
  • Experience in other public clouds, especially AWS, Azure is a plus.
  • Containerization Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Cloud-native architectures, including public cloud PaaS/IaaS, micro-services.
  • Willingness to track, assess, and incorporate practice and technology developments into day-to-day working.
  • Hands on experience in network programming and infrastructure as code automation (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Cloudformation, etc…).
  • Ability to write code efficiently in one programming language: Bash, Python preferred; JavaScript, Golang, PowerShell or other.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Helm).
  • Experience with Cloud Security principles, technologies, design and deployment and conduct security design assessment reviews after it is deployed and suggest mitigations.
  • English B2 or above.
  • Cloud professional certifications desirable.
