Within the Technology Strategy and Innovation practice (TS&I), we are looking for an IoT Infrastructure Engineer to join our consulting team. This role is available in various locations across Poland.
Responsibilities
- Provides timely and high quality technical support in performing engineering research, evaluation, configuration, testing, analysis and deployment of real-time sensor technologies and associated IoT services.
- Uses engineering knowledge and experience to develop and improve solutions in support of the primary business foundation.
- Provides expertise to solve problems, develops innovative solutions to engineering problems and customer operational issues, and creates complex algorithms to provide actionable intelligence for business owners to optimize operational performance and efficiencies.
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of IoT applications and their documentation according to the applicable standards with the help of the prescribed methods and procedures or regulations
- Responsible for planning and designing the architecture of small (up to 2 project members) and medium (up to 5 project members) IoT projects
- Design, planning or implementation of an IoT application, as well as coordination with customers in small and medium-sized IoT projects
- Lead the quality assurance of complex IoT applications / architectures
- Coordination / planning with the customer Data connection Front and Backend development based on methodical and uniform techniques.
- Technical control of projects to address operational needs and to develop solutions to current problems of IoT architectures / applications; Identifying ways to increase the effectiveness of IoT solutions.
- Technical specification to address potential safety aspects of the work carried out using appropriate techniques, procedures or policies (tools) and methods
- Technical leadership and architectural responsibility of major components of IoT applications / architectures in smaller (up to 2 project staff) projects
- Planning and controlling of meetings, workshops in the team or with the customer regarding the entire project environment. Adherence and final coordination of the results with the client
- Self-responsible (sub) project management and responsibility for compliance with expenses in accordance with (project) specifications.
- Final selection of technical solutions in terms of cost and quality; Coordination with customer requests.
- Coordination of changes in the course of the project as well as change requests in small and medium-sized IoT projects with the customer
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant areas preferred
- Knowledge of technical and non-technical aspects of Engineering.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, analytical, computer and software skills
- Experience in an engineering position or engineering internship
- Experience working in design, manufacturing, construction, maintenance or operations
- Experience working in computer/software programming
- Experience in the followings:
- Backend / Frontend conceptions (also optional)
- Java
- JavaScript frameworks
- Programming paradigms REST etc.
- Container
- Micro Services
- PaaS
- In the case of Front End
- UI design
- Mockup generation with / without tools
- Service based architectures and modules in the case of Backend
- API conceptions
- Service based architectures and modules
- Interface technologies also to ERP systems methodology
- Agile software development
- SCRUM
- Cloud understanding and knowledge
- Internationally mobile and willing to work away from home on a regular basis
- Fluent in English
- Location: Anywhere in Poland likely to be close to a city with an international airport
- Ability to comply with all necessary visa and work permit requirements in order to successfully reside and work within the UK, EU and Europe.
