Position Summary:

 

Digital Workplace (DWP) Technical Project Manager responsible to plan, lead and manage the successful delivery of workplace Transformation, Migration and Build (Greenfield and Brownfield) Projects.

 

This resource needs to be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, familiar with governing disruptive technologies, managing multiple vendors, contractors and technology disciplines, while communicating to both business and technology resources. Also, leads projects independently or as a part of program and provides governance to other team members.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • As a Technical project manager to drive the workplace components in a project/program along with technical architects/SMEs for a new or existing Atos outsourcing client
  • Plans and controls projects containing multiple sub-projects and/or 3rd party activities with external dependencies. Re-plans/baselines to maintain expected outcomes, while managing scope and milestone changes. Manages teams containing technologies and/or outputs outside of own expertise. Provides accruals and tracking of cost of work done, with evidence of corrective actions taken to minimize adverse variances to budget.
  • Manages risks, issues and assumptions associated with medium complexity, multi-streamed projects involving technologies and resources (inc. 3rd parties) outside of domain expertise. Quantified risks may be commercial and/or activity based.
  • Manages seamless handover of the project outputs that are accepted by the client and/or standing Atos organization, including proposal for reallocation of staff and disposal of assets not included in handover.
  • Adapts to changing circumstances, adopting different roles according where appropriate to fit with a new (customer) environment. Experiments with new ways of doing things and takes a positive approach to change.
  • Manage the project from the initial pre-sales handover to early life support.
  • Manage all aspects of the project implementations including project rollouts, resource tracking, budget management, schedule development, cost/ budget analysis, cross discipline coordination and communications
  • Issue regular project status and manage communication with internal Atos stakeholder and client representatives.
  • Manage project team and resource allocation
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate policies and standards;
  • Ensure that projects meet timeline, scope and budget requirements.
  • Act as a technical project manager: understand Workplace solution building blocks and how they fulfill client requirements and meet Atos contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and effectively communicate appropriate reports and updates to management
  • Facilitate the resolution of issues and escalate issues to project stakeholders as required
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders
  • Achieve project milestones through regular cross-functional project meetings to review schedule, status, issues and to ensure conflict resolution and risk mitigation
  • Strong client facing skills and an acute understanding of consulting.
  • Be able to construct a migration planning workbook, detailing Excel, MS Project, MS Visio and resource
  • details for each individual installation event, as a guideline to follow for migration success.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodology (e.g. Agile, Scrum, PMBOK, Prince2)
  • Be responsible for ensuring successful execution of the defined project scope
  • Ability to lead project teams in a highly matrix environment
  • Demonstrated experience implementing new technologies
  • Follow transition process to hand-off support to Support team after rollout

 

 

Technical and Project skills:

  • Must have certifications like CAPM, PMP, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), Prince2
  • Extensive knowledge in client Migration/transformation projects from win7 to Win10 traditional & modern in a Small (5K), mid (20K) and large(70K) EUC device landscape 
  • Extensive knowledge in fully cloud device management (Intune/VMware workspaceONE) & hybrid (SCCM Co-Management & Intune) environment
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory, KMS and CA certification authority and Azure AD, packaging, and software certification and distribution, Bit locker and encryption solutions
  • Good Knowledge in MDT and OS image deployment
  • Good Knowledge in Software packaging and Distribution
  • Knowledge in Bitlocker and encryption solutions
  • Good knowledge in mobile device management solutions, (E.g. Intune/SCCM, VMware workspace ONE, MobileIron.)
  • Knowledge in server operating system MS Windows 2008 R2 and higher

  • Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer handling skills
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written
  • Ability to structure and draft technical documentation
  • Demonstrated superior customer relationship and communication skills

Flexibility:

 

  • Should be working for the North American time zone
  • Overtime may be necessary to complete tasks
  • Need to be flexible with respect to working times, based on GBU timings for whom the Transition is being managed
  • Working on weekends during Production move

 

Working Experience & Education Qualification:

 

  • Formal education level: Bachelor's Degree
  • 12-15 years of overall IT experience
  • Recent and relevant experience of 5-8 years of project management in migration projects like - migration/ upgrade/ consolidation / implementation etc.
  • PMP / Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM)/ Prince 2 certifications preferred.
  • Fluent in German and English
