Part of the Global Strategic Engagement team, the Engagement Director supports the deal and drives the best position for the client in Atos knowing what is necessary and what will win the deal. Is comfortable taking complex and unstructured situations and leading the room, with the aim of getting clarification and agreement. Is able to see and understand the bigger picture. Has an absolute “can-do attitude”, with tenacity. Has a wide breadth of knowledge and experience.
Role Responsibilities:
- Defines and maintains the optimum deal-shape throughout the sales cycle (combined strategy for sales/ commercial/competitive/risk)
- Develops strong client relationships to establish position as trusted partner for sales, commercial and solution aspects.
- Leadership, vision & direction of the deal to drive a winning strategy
- To feedback to the company any relevant market intelligence, e.g. customers, marketplace, industry, competition, technology
- Provide strong justification for deviations from Atos standards, strategies and policies where this will create competitive advantage or mitigate a disadvantage
- Establishes a detailed actual or assumed understanding of the client’s business case
- Drives the commercial deal, and negotiations, end to end with the sales lead – externally and internally – to drive the best outcome for the client and Atos
- Challenges solution, sales strategy and commercial approach to established optimum balance between client requirements, Atos standards and offerings and bespoke solutions
Essential skills
- Sales experience and mindset with excellent articulation, presentation and communication skills. Both formal presentations and broad customer workshops – solution, financial, commercial, innovation etc.
- Comfortable with and well recognised for taking complex, unstructured situations and leading the room (both customer and internal) in getting clarity, understanding and agreement
- Strong business case modelling, and creative approach to ‘what-if’ analysis
- Track record in winning, shaping & being central to closing IT outsourcing contracts >£50m in last 24 months
- Fluid, creative, knowledgeable & at-ease across all potential IT/BPS topics across all seniority levels
- Demonstrable skills and track record of successfully challenging, and changing the norm, to win business.
Desirable Skills
- Degree level education
- Deep technical / architect skills not required, but a broad and inquisitive experience of multiple service types, technologies and consulting
Individual Strengths
- Ability to act as sales lead on selected deals / Potential to develop into major deal sales role
- Relationship builder & absolute ‘can-do’ attitude able to spot gaps and act to either fill or resolve
- Is a natural self-starter, knows what the clients wants, and drives to create the right deal
- Succinct & credible in the way they communicate
