The Procurement Bid Specialist / Bid Lead holds a key role in the Global Procurement Bid Management Department and is responsible for obtaining excellent understanding of all new bids and specifying how best the relevant GBU and/or the Global Procurement Organization can be engaged and involved.

The role will involve:

•  Integrating into the new business cycle at appropriate times as part of the relevant stages of the Rainbow process, including regular engagement of the Bid Management Team and ensuring adherence to the procurement policy and the use of the Preferred Supplier list (where appropriate).

• Assisting the Purchasing Bid Manager to coordinate and engage the Strategic Buyers and where relevant, other members the Strategic Procurement Group, in the Sales and Bid Process for new and incremental business.

• Administration and housekeeping of all relevant Bid documentation through Livelink

 

What skills do you need to perform the role?

• Previous experience in Procurement bid management and transitions will be a huge asset

• Good knowledge of MS Office programs

• General knowledge about Procurement Categories and good understanding of Procurement Bid Management Role

• Understanding of Sales Cycles

• Strong organizational, management and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex problems quickly 

• Creative and innovative spirit with a willingness to learn fast and share learning within the team

• English C1 level - other language is a plus
