The cyber data engineers and data scientists play an essential role in the new Security Operations Centers by developing and continuously improving this toolset making it more and more efficient in the mission that it has been designed for – detecting and rapidly responding to security threats. We’re looking for Junior, Regular and Senior Data Scientists, that will work on a development of new Security and UEBA use cases for our Customers or join the Digital Twin project, to work on Industry 4.0 trends.

 

The data scientists will apply their expertise in many areas:

  • Data engineers need to integrate data from many systems and continue to develop new data models and algorithms.
  • Depends on a project, they need to create custom detection scenarios specific to businesses or work on Digital Twin concepts.
  • They need to apply governance on the models created.
  • They have to communicate with cyber analysts or manufacturing domain leaders (non-data scientist) to discuss the alerts and metrics.
  • Depending on the function of the Analytics tool, they need to understand which data sets are needed to ingest to/train the tool. They will have to search for such data sets and sometimes generate them, such as behavioral records of malware from a sandbox or patterns of malformed queries.

 

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science or related field
  • Solid knowledge of statistical techniques.
  • Skills of pattern detection over potentially large datasets.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, and optimization algorithms.
  • Solid programming skills (Scala, Spark, Python, Hadoop MapReduce), and statistical modeling (like SAS or R).
  • Experience using machine learning algorithms will be additional pros.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least basic Cyber Security knowledge.
  • Focus on a project and teamwork.
  • English language on B2 level.
