Network Technical  Architect


We are looking for an experienced architect who within the network domain.


The individuals will consult, lead, and develop customer-specific network solutions for broad and complex requirements. A solution may comprise of standard and non-standard design approach and thus requiring special degree of creativity, strategic decision-making, and a detailed approach to the creation of solution. 


The role also requires the individual to be highly skilled in network technologies and vendors and have industry market awareness.




After determining a clear understanding of the client’s business needs and requirements, the Presales Network Solutions Architect will own and develop the solution, product vendor and overall end-to-end design that will constitute the end proposal, and their interoperability and integration with any broader enterprise architecture solution components and in some cases other external or legacy estates, ensuring the clients requirements are met or exceeded. This role will be accountable for the network solution design and approval at customer pre-contract stage including financial costings which will be obtained from either internal or external suppliers as appropriate.

You will work closely with customers, sales, engineering, product teams and 3rd party vendors to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient architectures that address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of the Network Practice products and solutions. 
In collaboration with Global Presales and Industry verticals you will contribute to the drive-in revenue growth across a broad set of Customers.

The role will also involve the RFP/RFI process as well as bespoke solutions in collaboration with Product teams/vendors, ensuring accurate verification, technical design vetting and overall cost and quality for the correct design and implementation. 


Network Solutioning:


•    Support our sales teams in the identification and qualification of new leads and opportunities for the targeting of new customers as well as the further development of service features for existing customers.
•    Assess and understand the client’s business requirements, translating and recording these into formal network solution requirements.
•    Responsible for the development of a convincing solution strategy regarding current, intermediate, and future mode of operations including migration approach to achieve the FMO
•    Design and develop an end-to-end network solution design to meet the agreed network solution requirements while taking into consideration the economic parameters and competition
•    Ensuring all aspects of the solution are aligned to the strategy of the practice and win themes defined by the bid team
•    Responsible for preparing commercial offers, quotations, and proposals assembling costs for hardware, software, labor; creating a cost buildup using cost models or other tools
•    Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM)s
•    Creation of customer presentations for solution related topics
•    Construct compelling proposal responses that describe and support the network solution, owning all network technical sections of the bid response 
•    Coordination and oversight of Third-Party Providers for solution components
•    Overall responsibility for the definition and management of network solution risks, including impact on the cost model and transition or transformation plans.
•    Handling the Atos approval processes to acquire solution / deal approvals.
•    Effectively support the handover of deals from bid into delivery teams and consult on the implementation of projects (where necessary) from architecture/solution point-of-view.


General Experience/skills:

•    Strong English language skill, both verbal and written
•    Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, strategic planning, and business acumen
•    Experience in technical presales or consulting with RFIs and RFPs 
•    Extensive experience within Network presales and/or architecture role within the network domain.
•    Strong client facing presentation skills and ability to explain technical solutions and business value on the customer’s level



•    Extensive experience in the development of network solutions for large scale clients
•    Ability to understand client requirements and create a solution design that meets those requirements
•    Capable of crafting a comprehensive solution based on client’s requirements and/or sales strategy.
•    Experience and ability to write compelling proposal responses that describe and support the solution



•    Extensive knowledge of the network market, vendors, technologies, and products
•    Expert design skills:
o    Generic Routing / Switching 
o    Data Center: LAN, WAN, DCI, Load balancing, Firewalls and Hyperscaler connectivity
o    Branch and Campus wired and wireless LAN and security, including SD-WAN, SD-LAN and zero trust security
•    Knowledge of network and server infrastructure, and the capabilities of cloud-based computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio

•    Cisco: Meraki, Viptela, DNA-C / SDA, ACI, Nexus, ISR, Catalyst, ASR/ Firepower Firewalls, Anyconnect VPN
•    Juniper: Mist, QFX/EX Fabrics inc VCF, EVPN-VXLAN, MACSEC Apstra, CSO, SRX, 128-T, NFX
•    VMWare Velo-cloud
•    Versa SD-WAN
•    F5: BigIP LTM
•    Pulse Secure: SSLVPN 
•    VNF/uCPE technologies


Desirable Skills:

•    Experience of aspects of IT enterprise network delivery including presales, strategy, solution development, design, deployment, and operations.
•    Experience of delivering consultancy in context of network strategy
•    Experience in IT/OT convergence projects and technologies
•    Automation / scripting capabilities
•    German and/or French language in addition to the English language
