As an Atos Cloud Architect, you will apply your knowledge of software, systems and infrastructure architecture to design and deliver advanced, market leading cloud managed services for public and private clouds.

 

To facilitate on-time product delivery, you will work with a variety of stakeholders to discuss architectural efforts, prioritize work, identify and resolve dependencies, and maintain organizational focus.  You will provide leadership and expertise in the design and development of new products, services, and processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.  

 

You need to possess the ability to grow further into new generations of services and comprehend the requirements and dependencies to integrate into an enterprise level landscape. 

 

Embracing an agile development framework is key.  Effectively contribute to Agile workflows – Feature/Epic definition, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, scrum of scrums and retrospectives. Work within a global workforce across multiple time zones.  Empowered to collaborate and make decisions together in a team with speed and efficiency.

  

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Design and deliver enterprise level shared services for the management of private and public clouds
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research while articulating options, the pros and cons for each, along with a recommendation
  • Advising functional and admin teams on architecture design, development and overall best practices
  • Staying abreast of current and emerging technologies that can add-to or enhance our services portfolio
  • Assessment of technologies or products via combination of research, hands-on testing and vendor interactions
  • Advanced design of APIs, business rules, UI Policies, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc.
  • React quickly to ever changing market conditions and technology advancements with “out of the box” solutions that allow our business partners to have the tools that will enable them to reach and exceed our sales goals
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Work closely with other architects and portfolio managers to execute against product roadmaps
  • Ability to research topics, make decisions based on information available, fail-fast and rework as needed
  • Participation as SME in recurring stand-up meetings

 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cloud architecture experience using native services in AWS, Azure and/or GCP
  • 5+ years of experience as an infrastructure engineer or architect working in a large-scale, Enterprise-grade environment.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a developer
  • Background and experience with various complex IT ecosystems besides cloud architecture
  • Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams
  • BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with and managing work with Jira and other Atlassian tools
  • Extensive experience with Cloud APIs covering software defined Compute, Networking and storage technologies as well as Cloud native automation tools
  • Proven and verifiable history of analyzing business situations and working within a group environment to provide efficient and effective software solutions
  • Strong web services experience (REST and SOA architectures)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment 
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Java Script, Go, Python, Perl, C/C++ and C#
  • Strong working knowledge designing, developing and deploying IaaS and n-tier application hosting on AWS, Azure, vSphere/vRA and GCP Clouds
  • Knowledge of system design and development used within Service Oriented Architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, JAXWS)
  • Proven history of providing technical support during all phases of project delivery. This includes, but is not limited to: development of project estimates, solution design review, documentation creation and review, and peer code reviews
  • Experience with enterprise DevOps/ITIL/ITOM processes and tooling implementations
  • Must be adaptable to work in a varied, fast paced exciting, ever changing environment
  • Strong core knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues
  • Self-starter with desire to understand work and project objectives
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to use those skills to effectively Interface with end users and development teams to conduct systems analysis and planning
  • Experience with Kubernetes architecture and tools (Helm/Istio)
  • Experience with Microservice development hosted on Kubernetes
