DTC require an experienced Data architect with a broad range of technology and sector experience who have the appetite and capability to advise and architect innovative data solutions for our clients, including the very fast developing areas of “Big Data” and advanced analytics. 

The Data and Analytics practice sits within the Consulting group of Atos IT Services, UK. 

This practice represents a growing capability within Atos and currently comprises a talented team of analysts, developers, data scientists, consultants and architects covering all aspects of the information management lifecycle; from data management through to business intelligence and analytics.  The practice is technology agnostic and has capability across a range of technologies, including products from SAP, Oracle, IBM and Microsoft as well as more specialist technology providers such as Qliktech,Talend, Cloudera and Infoshare. 

We are seeking a talented data architect to join our growing team.  We are especially interested in consultants with a broad range of technology and sector experience who have the appetite and capability to advise and architect innovative data solutions for our clients, including the very fast developing areas of “Big Data” and advanced analytics. 


Your day-to-day responsibilities include: 

We require an experienced Data Architect to support the delivery of Enterprise and Big Data Architectures with a focus on BI and Data Management applications. 

The role will involve the following:- 

  • Definition of Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models and Data Architectures to support client enterprise architecture initiatives 

  • Definition of Logical and Physical Data Models, Data Flows (including streaming data) and Data Architectures to support BI, Data Warehouse and Data Migration application requirements 

  • Part of a BI architecture capability responsible for delivering bid and project solution architecture definitions 

  • Involvement in pre-sales and bid efforts to define and explain BI and data management solution architectures 

  • Acting as design authority for BI or Data Management application projects and owning delivery of the data architecture/models that support these projects 

  • Team lead for small teams of data modellers to support the above work 

  • Delivery of data governance processes to support management of client data architectures 

  • Mapping data from operational systems to BI systems (mis of on-premise and cloud) 

  • Client facing role working through requirements and delivering data architectures in required formats and using agreed data design/modelling tools 

  • Fluent in English– another European language especially French, German, Spanish is appreciated. 

  • Location: anywhere in Poland close to an international airport. Warszawa, Wrocław or Kraków, Łódź, Bydgoszcz 

  • EU work permit is a must

You will be able to deliver data architectures for projects in the data management, BI and analytics space. The role is client facing so travel to client sites is expected. Good communication skills, both oral and written is a must 



Skills we can’t do without: 


  • Demonstrable experience of defining and building BI /Data Warehouse logical, cloud data architecture and physical models including normalised and dimensional models as required 

  • Experience mapping data from operational system to BI systems 

  • Demonstrable experience in defining and building Data Migration architectures 

  • Expertise in a minimum of one data modelling tool preferably Erwin and/or IBM Rational System Architect 

  • Expertise in running client workshops to extract and understand client data requirements and turn these into valuable data models 

  • Be able to demonstrate a thorough appreciation of the architecture, design and data related issues that affect the development of the different types of Data Warehouse and BI applications 

  • Experience across a range of relational and database technology, including Oracle and SQL Server 

  • Must be able to demonstrate good analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving 

  • Pragmatic and detail orientated 

  • Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills 

  • Demonstrable team leadership attributes 

  • Have the ability to obtain SC clearance 


Skills we’d like: 


  • Experience in defining and building enterprise wide conceptual, logical and physical models 

  • Experience in leading small teams of architects/data modellers 

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of data integration tools, metadata repository tools and their use 

  • Appreciation and awareness of the latest concepts around Big Data and its application in BI architectures and solutions  

  • A good understanding of Master Data Management theory and application and the tools that support this 

  • Architecture experience in Microsoft Cloud (incl. Azure analytics tools) and exposure to Google Cloud Platform or AWS cloud.  

  • Experience of migrating/integrating data from on premise to Cloud
