We are looking for a Mainframe IMS System Programmer to join our team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, update and coordinate Mainframe IMS subsystems and related ISV products.

  • Perform changes within Company regulations and security standards.

  • Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades.

  • Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team, and clients to continuously improve services.

  • Participate in On-Call rotation schedule.

  • Installing/upgrading IBM IMS subsystem.

  • Monitoring of IMS regions, performance tools like Mainview, Omegamon, SYSVIEW.

  • Knowledge on administration tasks using various IMS DB/DC Commands.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience as a IMS System Programmer or in a similar role.

  • IMS Level 3 System Program Skills

  • Installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and administration of IMS DB DC JCL, ISPF, and SMP/E proficiency

  • z/OS System level Skills.

  • DB2, CICS, REXX

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with database security standard processes.

  • Proficient English – level B2 or above

  • Excellent and effective communication skills with management

  • Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-national and virtual environments

  • Self motivated and tenacious personality
