What are we looking for?

The person must have IT Technical Background (minimum 4 years of experience), to be capable in offering remote IT 3rd Level Support for our global clients, with main responsibilities as follows:


  • This position has roles in: planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all Exchange & Domino hardware/software. Because of the inter-connections of the messaging system knowledge of peripheral systems and protocols such as SameTime, Domino, Email Gateways (IronPort), Email Archiving solutions, Blackberry Enterprise Servers and other Mobile technologies will be given higher consideration. The Messaging Administrator will work in a team environment where collaboration, effective communications and accountability is of the highest importance.
  • Maintain and support the administration of corporate email and Exchange/Domino application’s environment, which comprises Exchange & Domino high availability services.
  • Using broad and in-depth product knowledge (Microsoft Exchange Environment, Active Directory and Windows Server Operating Systems) provide and facilitate the responsive delivery of technical solutions and information to major customers;
  • Provide solutions to complex problems, this involves dealing with difficult situations including complaint handling, sensitive customers as well as regular operations;
  • Build customer and partner dedication through customer orientation, responsiveness and accountability;
  • Work in an international environment and collaborate with your team to provide high-level support.

Technical knowledge and skills:

  • Proven understanding of Domino basics such as mail servers, NAB components, domain documents, routing topology, etc.
  • Experience with creating Domino and SMTP-based solutions from customer requirements
  • Ability to work independently and execute project planning and tasks without manager follow-up.
  • Manages timelines and resources in other technical areas in order to drive projects to implementation.
  • Experience leading complex technical projects and resourcing Domino/messaging tasks on large-scale projects
  • Well-spoken and clearly understood; ability to communicate status and issues to leadership in a professional manner
  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills for Domino server issues, able to drive an issue to resolution, pull in other resources when needed, etc.
  • Able to work individually when solving issues with vendors, manage problem tickets with IBM or other vendors.
  • Experience with external mail gateways using hosted services like Proofpoint, Cisco Ironport, MessageLabs or the like
  • Experience with administering messaging mobility services such as Traveler, Blackberry, and/or Good is a plus
  • Experience with fixing and configuring Domino web servers and Sametime environments
  • Basic understanding of Lotus Designer client and LotusScript and/or Formula code design skills
  • Has supported or administered Domino environments that worked with the following technologies:
  • Siteminder, Network hardware/DNS load balancing, SQL, Websphere, Tiered/firewalled networks
  • Social Skills and competencies: Analytical Thinking; Collaboration; Strong problem solving skills; Interpersonal skills in international environment; Willingness to improve technical skills;
  • Foreign Languages: Strong working knowledge of English and German
