The main project locations for these roles are Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Telford and Worthing. Customer visits to one of the above-mentioned locations are required and your role will include a mixture of remote working, working from our client’s offices and working from customer offices.

 

The opportunity!

Our Test Practice is growing, and we are looking to hire forward-thinking test professionals to support the growth of the practice and deliver first class services to our customers. The role involves quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating the ongoing purpose and deliverables of the test effort.

  • Ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources.

  • Assessing the progress and efficiency of the test effort.

  • Advocating the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of meaningful defects.

  • Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Testing techniques, tools and latest trends, including SW engineering processes and automation.

  • Experienced in test planning & execution with Agile & DevOps methodologies.

  • Must have led testing activities in various projects, with teams up to 10 resources, ideally within a Distributed Delivery environment.

  • Flexible, with good communication and analytical skills.

  • Experience in working in Bi-Modal Methodologies, managing Cloud Migration Projects and Test Transition Projects, working within the UK defense arena, and programming or managing programming teams (desirable).

  • Knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process and at least 3 business domains.

  • Experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques and tools.

  • Good people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills.

  • Planning, resource assignment, leadership skills.
