The opportunity

The UK Microsoft Practice provides industry-proven solutions and is planning a dynamic growth in order to meet growing customers’ demand. Atos’s clients are increasingly using the ‘cloud’ for solutions which creates the need to migrate solutions and optimise the collaborative environments.

This is a permanent role that will require the successful applicant to gain security clearance.

Signs of success

You will have the ability to travel to client and Atos sites around the UK.

Ideal candidates for the role will have passed the AZ 140 Microsoft exam.

The role can be based at local Atos sites and has the capability of home working, particularly in the current COVID 19 climate. There will be the potential to travel to client sites as needed by the business.


Skills we can’t do without:

  • Demonstrable technical experience with Cloud VDI operation managing Azure Virtual Desktop / WVD, FSlogix, App attach

  • Experience designing the Azure Virtual Desktop architecture

  • Experience designing for user identities and profiles

  • Experience implementing and managing networking & storage for AVD

  • Experience creating managed pooled and personal VDI host pools

  • Experience managing access and security within Azure

  • Experience managing and maintaining software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration

  • Takes initiative to keep skills up to date and maintain awareness of developments in the industry sector.


Skills we’d like:

  • Experience in designing, developing, and debugging scalable End User Computing Solutions

  • Proficient knowledge of Image creation/customization/upgrades

  • Involved in operations support at L2/L3 level

  • Proficient Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems

  • Understanding of Network (DNS, Firewall/proxy, Micro Segmentation). Storage Virtualizations

  • Passion for new technologies and innovation

  • Conveys specific, observable, and/or measurable expectations for each assignment, and verifies understanding and agreement on deliverables and timeframes. Working closely with the customer and delivery teams to gather the necessary information, perform data analysis, design, and build the tools, create documentation, execute staffing activities, and develop other constructs to prepare to deliver the services.

  • Additional certifications in Microsoft (O365 / Azure)
