We are looking for hardworking and upbeat Sustainability Consultants to join our team and help us go further. Our Consultants help our clients create business value through carbon, energy, and sustainability management. They help them to understand their carbon footprints and then go beyond measurement to build achievable management plans and to communicate their achievements.

 

As part of a team, our new Consultants will contribute to our overall consultancy function and take ownership of handling and delivering a range of sustainability-related projects with a solid focus on delivering product carbon footprints and Life Cycle Assessment.

About the role:

The ideal candidate will be coming from previous experience within carbon and sustainability services.

This role requires a wide variety of capabilities. The list below covers the main items.

 

Technical:

 

 

  • Detailed knowledge of issues surrounding climate change, energy, greenhouse gas emissions, and sustainability;
  • Confirmed knowledge of carbon accounting standards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol and its variants, PAS 2050) and understanding of carbon neutrality standards such as PAS 2060;
  • Working experience in carbon accounting, carbon measurement techniques, and calculation methods for Scopes 1, 2, and 3, and CR reporting software, especially Scope 3 value chain assessment techniques and methods;
  • Previous exposure to LCA and software such as GABI;
  • Familiarity with a variety of approaches to target setting including science-based target methodologies, CDP, climate-related risk assessment, and scenario analysis;
  • Knowledge of the recommendations of TCFD and other publications sought at supporting organizations address, lead and prepare against the impact of climate change;
  • Detailed understanding of UK legislative frameworks;
  • Honors or Master’s degree in a relevant subject.

 

 

Non-Technical:

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to produce well-presented, accurate results
  • Experience working in a consultative manner to understand client needs and guide them to a solution, preferably shown through client consulting engagements in the private sector
  • Excellent social skills, with the ability to run sophisticated project deliveries across multiple simultaneous client engagements
  • Proven track record of team and client success, handle large and sophisticated projects, lead and guide associates, and partner with client stakeholders to achieve common goals;
  • Effective writing skills, with a capability to write concise, compelling, and well-structured documents and reports;
  • Demonstrable ability to conduct resource planning/skills assessments with other members of staff, and to supervise utilization levels to handle optimum project staffing;
  • Dedication to supporting the team in a growing and multifaceted business;
  • Developing intellectual and commercial assets within the Company, with a focus on continuous improvement.
