CTX Telecom - FIT

The Telecom Senior Technical Consultant solves advanced complex technical problems. Our Senior Technical Consultant develops and provides solutions and procedures for best practice implementations to ensure that problems to not reoccur. The Senior Technical Consultant sets standards, installations guidelines, and maintenance and verification/auditing documentation of systems solutions, as well as providing technical support to customers regarding ongoing solutions.


Location: Temple, TX.


Key Areas of Responsibility

• Perform consultation: plan, design, oversee implement, and support the voice infrastructure

• Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions

• Set up, configure, and test Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Call Manager Express, Unity Express, and voice gateways, etc.

• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems

• Assist in the management of projects

• Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade converged network solutions

• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems

• Regularly interface with technical teams and project leaders, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagements

• Serve as technical point of contact on project engagements

• Monitor contractors time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of Work

• Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates

• Ensure solution is implemented as designed to the customer’s satisfaction and approval

• Work with Professional Services Managers, Project Managers and customers to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being met

• Proactively develops plans and activities to avoid problems

• Providing technical and functional guidance for communications technologies and capabilities o This includes but is not limited to VoIP, audio and video conferencing, monitoring and reporting

• Will also work with our Sr. Technical team to deploy new functionality, implement services, create standard operating procedures, train, and troubleshooting

• Use considerable judgement to determine solution and seek guidance on complex problems



• Certifications from Microsoft and Cisco. 

• Experience in testing vendor software to determine fitness to solve problems

• Personality to work with customers to help them with their technical problems.


The ideal Telecom Senior Technical Consultant is someone that has a passion for solving technical and information technology related issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment are required.

Bachelor of Science Degree

5+ years experience CISCO experience and Telecom skills required
