The Service Technology  Director is a new position created as part of the recently awarded Texas Private Cloud contract awarded by the State of Texas to Atos in March 2020. This position is responsible for developing the Technology Plan. They will research, recommend, and introduce new technologies for the client. In addition, they will research future strategies and technology directors that align with the Texas strategic business imperatives. As part of this effort, they will evaluate market technology trends and the impact on the Texas data center program. Included in this effort is to evaluate industry best practices and recommend areas of improvement.




General Duties:

  • Liaison to customer for technical innovations related to servers, storage, backup and mainframe technologies
  • Manage the roadmap of proposed technical innovations
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to implement multiple priority initiatives and innovations
  • Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer to complete the tasks related to technology advisement, technology outlook reports, and technology briefings and workshops across the client space



  • Experience integrating Government and Service Provider teams on implementing technology innovations
  • Experience with cloud computing, servers, storage, and mainframe technolgies
  • SME in Networking Technologies
  • Good IT architecture generalist with specific skills, infrastructure technologies, such as VMWare, Cisco, Dell Servers, and Exidata. 
  • Possess technical background to effectively communicate and collaborate with engineers assessing current technical environment and proposing improved solutions
  • Experience and willing to work alongside the team lead to implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage rank and file engineers, as well as Government and Service Provider leadership
  • Experience and comfortable with providing technical briefs
  • 10+ Years of relevant technology experience supporting data center technologies
