Direct and coordinate financial planning, budgeting, and forecasts on a large client account. Lead on investment appraisal and management of the contract lifecycle P&L. Provide early warning of problems and opportunities – no surprises. 

 

Tasks:

  • Lead on the month end close process and production of client financial reporting including monthly, quarterly and ad hoc dashboards and reporting.
  • Manage of team of financial analysts and work closely with all areas of operations.
  • Lead all aspects of ensuring the quality of controls around all financial planning and reporting within the unit, consistent with the US control environment.
  • Engage in financial discussions at all levels with respect to ongoing bids and existing contracts.
  • Ensure that the finance business partnership model is embedded within the onshore and offshore finance team.
  • Drive initiatives to improve business performance & change for greater efficiency within the business.
  • Manage internal/external auditors for annual and adhoc reviews throughout the year.
  • Provide management with adequate training and guidance in both financial issues and key performance indicators.
  • Working the dotted line relationships with cross-divisional finance ensuring good communications and availability of right data to inform business decisions.
  • Communication of results and forecasts to North America Management and managing ad hoc requests as required
  • Overseeing and reporting on performance to business case for the contract lifecycle P&L with a key focus on cost control and validating and reporting on the key business case assumptions
  • Accountable for the accounting service including close review of controls in place and their effectiveness.
  • Manage the working capital and balance sheet structures and promote best practice on working capital reduction, including leading on changes to billing arrangements with the client.
  • Overall financial responsibility of contracted B2B business including attending relevant customer meetings
  • Building and maintaining relationships with other North America finance and non-finance stakeholders.
