Our largest software development center is located in Athens, employing more than 270 highly skilled software professionals. Additionally, we have a team of over 40 professionals in charge of Global Operation & Service activities.


Athens Center of Excellence is seeking for an enthusiastic Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.





Main Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, monitor, and manage cloud resources (compute, storage, networking)
  • Deploy product updates and software fixes
  • Setup and configure tools and environment for automated build, deployment, and dependency management
  • Setup and implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Create and execute automated functional, performance, and security testing suites
  • Provide technical support as well as identify, troubleshoot, and drive to resolution production issues
  • Design and implement methods for system troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Write code to automate repeatable processes as well as accessing external services and APIs
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Implement best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.
  • Lead innovation, patents’ creation and PoC implementations
  • Actively participate in technology events, representing the organization
  • Continuously enrich expertise on software/technology ecosystem and trends
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior engineers


Education, Experience & Profile

  • University degree in Engineering/Computer Science or similar discipline
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Software/Quality/Support/DevOps Engineering positions (min. 5yrs with Cloud/SaaS solutions)
  • Strong customer facing communication, teamworking and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus
  • Work hours/shift flexibility
  • Ability to travel


Technical Skills

  • Extensive expertise with core cloud services (Storage, Compute, Networking) along with public cloud service offerings (GCP preferred)
  • Solid experience on DevOps basics (Build, Deployment, Dependency Management)
  • Hands-on programming (Python preferred) and scripting skills (bash preferred)
  • Proven experience with Virtualization platforms (VMWare preferred), and Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Deep knowledge of the application development lifecycle tooling landscape (eg git/gitlab, Jenkins X, Jira/Confluence etc)
  • Proven experience with Linux/Windows OS
  • Strong knowhow in Problem & Incident management
  • Knowhow in GitOps practices for managing infrastructure and application configurations
  • Familiarity with continuous monitoring, logs management & analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity assurance


Additional skills to be considered as plus

  • Cloud provider certifications (GCP preferred)
  • Advanced DevOps certifications
  • ITIL v4 certification
