Senior Genesys Engineer

 

Function:

Under general management, responsible for all administrative, operational and technical aspects of the Genesys PureConnect telephone and data communication systems within the assigned location.  Responsible for customer service, including – service delivery and communication.

 

Job Description:

  • Effectively manages and administers all Genesys PureConnect telephony systems in assigned locations
  • Provides inputs on design, planning and implementation of new business.
  • Provides accurate quotations on new telecom facilities.  Coordinates timely installations and     troubleshooting efforts with vendors.
  • Provide day/day support on all telephony system administration – Tasks and Incidents via SNOW Ticketing system
  • Provides monthly patching support as required.
  • Manage Support Tickets with the vendor and provide daily updates
  • Coordinates all telephony integration with Networking Departments
  • Performs all adds, moves and changes in Genesys PureConnect PBX’s and related telephony equipment
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks on Genesys PureConnect systems as specified by the vendor - Genesys
  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of change control tasks as per the Change Control Policies.
  • Creates and maintains complete and accurate records/diagrams of Genesys PureConnect Telecommunication infrastructures
  • Responsible for verification of implemented site security procedures for Telecommunications
  • Performs and keeps up to date on all IT Security requirements on PBX and related Telephony  equipment
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 7 – 10 years of hands on I3 telephony experience
  • Genesys PureConnect certifications are a must – at a minimum must have three current certifications
  • Hands on working experience with Genesys Components – specifically IC Server, Media Server, I3 Edge Gateways. SIP Proxy experience is a plus. Handlers experience is a plus.
  • Attendant development/modifications and Interaction Dialer experience
  • Hands on working experience which must include configuration of I3 Gateways.
  • I3 Version 2015R to current version – work experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of Networking and Networking protocols
  • Network certifications
  • Thorough working knowledge of Windows Servers and the day/day maintenance and patching
  • Intermediate SQL experience
  • Hands-on working knowledge with VoIP, understanding of VoIP Protocols including QoS.
  • Good computer skills – Email, Word, Excel, Visio
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN network
  • Thorough knowledge of Telephony signaling protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service skills are a must.
  • Able to speak and articulate directly with Sr. Leadership and Customers as needed.
