The opportunity

Within Atos, Cloud Enterprise Solutions (CES) is a strategic business answering to the growing market-demand on digital transformation. CES operates across the cloud lifecycle to weave secure digital solutions into the fabric of business, using a global arsenal of full stack capabilities that enable clients to go for successfully in a decarbonized and constantly evolving world. To drive our business in EMEA, we are recruiting a Cloud Transformation Advisor Business Development.

The role

As a Cloud Transformation Advisor, you will be responsible for engaging Cloud Sales teams, Cloud Big Deals teams and Customers and help them define overall cloud transformation and services strategy relevant for the customers, using your expertise in cloud. Your goal is to identify the business value required and define the services from ATOS to deliver the business value. You will work in both, national as well as international projects. You will work closely with other Cloud specialist advisors (in technology transformation, cloud financial engineering and operational transformation professionals) to define the right sales strategy for a number of our customers. You will work with the Cloud Sales teams who work on proposals and closing deals as an advisor. You will also work with the Cloud Special deals team, who work on large strategic deals as an advisor.

The requirements

You have experience in either selling, consulting, developing strategies or implementing technology and commercial cloud services to customers; you understand both infrastructure and application / data impacts of transformation. We are looking for someone that is not only technically experienced, but also has experience in selling customer cloud journey models, migration services, application development services or data services running in a multi cloud or hybrid cloud environment. Have a blend between commercial and technology experience in cloud services and are able to articulate value propositions to external customers, at multiple levels of their organisation. Above all, you are a hardworking person that takes ownership of his/her work and shows perseverance to reach the desired result.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for business development and defining the right cloud strategy
  • Lead “ideation” sessions to unlock customer business opportunities and risks and map them to Atos cloud solutions
  • Work with Cloud Sales team who lead the sale of services to customers and with Cloud Special deals team who lead senior engagements for large and strategic opportunities
  • Direct engagement with customers and partners to define strategies for cloud services to our customers
  • Ability to critically think through storyboards, work with specialists to develop thought leadership content in both domain and capability
  • Assist in drafting proposals and statements of work (SOWs) for sales pursuits.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

The right candidate:

  • At least 10 years in technology sales or relationship management, proven ability in consulting or cloud business development roles
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Innate problem solving skills.
  • Experience leading transformation projects or conducting business analysis in a technology environment.
  • Experience working across multiple industries or functions.
  • Shown ability to proactively develop core skills independently, demonstrate good executive presence, and collaborate closely in a professional environment.
  • Experience in building long-term strategic relationships at senior levels
  • Bring a consultative background in analysing and solving customer problems or opportunities
  • Lead contract negotiations along with the core sales organisation
  • Preferred Private / Public Cloud practitioner or certifications
  • Proactive and organised with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Preferred sales experience in hyperscalers cloud as well as application or data services
  • Experience in working with cross cultural teams
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficient in English and Dutch
