Head of Microsoft Practice - NL

Your role as Head of Microsoft Practice at Atos:

 

The Head of Microsoft Practice NL will set the overall leadership within the business for Microsoft solutions and service offerings. Ensuring that the business has the vital capacity, capabilities, and delivery skills to provide compelling and cost-effective solutions and services for our broad customer base across Manufacturing, Health, Public Sector and Resources & Services.

 

Our business is on a journey to align our organisation to be closer to our customers, this will over time entail changes in our Industry teams as well as our Regions and Practices. This role will be key to navigate and support the changing environment for the Microsoft Practice whilst maintaining focus on delivering on significant growth objectives in 2021 and beyond.In addition to the development, implementation, and management of the Microsoft Practice

 

Key responsibilities for the role:

 

  • Lead from the front to build a high performing Microsoft team, whilst acting as a cultural change agent to continue the creation an innovative and diverse business.
  • Take personal responsibility for key accounts, growth initiatives, deals and directly lead and contribute to key deals and bids to ensure they are won – including presentations, bid contents and senior client engagement or meetings;
  • Working closely across the Microsoft landscape with our partners to drive business growth using alliances and partner relationships;
  • Assume direct responsibility for financial performance of the Microsoft Practice, controlling costs to budget (or better) and provide an accurate forecast of business performance on a rolling 12-month basis. Focus on improving profit and reducing costs whilst maintaining service delivery and project quality metrics including client satisfaction;
  • Be responsible for the project & service delivery across all customer accounts, including the intervention where required to ensure delivery standards, objectives, breakthroughs and goals are met.
  • Take accountability for utilisation, recruitment and staff development resulting in the creation of a high-performance culture;
  • Drive additional growth into existing accounts and new customers – focusing personally and with the leadership team on interlocks with key customer executives. Help to present industry wide Microsoft trends and ideas including the benefits provided by key offerings.
  • Work as a team across Microsoft and wider Atos to resolve issues, staffing arbitration, delivery issues, resource optimisation, cost controls, reward and moderation at the local level;
  • Lead all major programme and project recovery actions where a “Back to Green” action is indicated or serious delivery issues and risks have arisen, including liaison and meetings with the senior customers;
  • Maintain high end service delivery for all important metrics and SLA’s across all accounts, including escalation pathways and attendance of major incident events such as P1 outages;
  • Ensure strong and appropriate governance across all programme delivery, engaging with the central Account Review process and ensuring links with the Corporate Governance Structure;
  • Set the direction, budgets and numbers for training, up-skilling and recruitment to make sure Microsoft Practice have the necessary delivery resources and capability to provide our customers with innovative solutions;
  • Overall responsibility within Microsoft Practice for the Resource Management, HR, Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Operational & Delivery functions – including the maintenance of Security cleared staff at all levels;
  • Help drive innovation and pre-sales initiatives within the key Industries, including practice support and development for new growth initiatives. Helping to align Industry, Sales, Pre-Sales Solutioning and Delivery imperatives to create compelling solutions for our customers;
  • Ability to operate within a truly matrixed environment both at a NL and Region level, (and deal with the ambiguity that can result); being able to cultivate local and cross border relationships, understanding the “bigger picture” as well as applying focus at a local level;
  • Lead and track improvement programs across the business (examples are industrialisation and standardisation, profit improvement, Phenomenal Place to Work & Client Satisfaction), driving annual productivity targets across Microsoft;
  • Have a validated ability to handle a major people transition / with track record of building and leading multi-layered teams with excellent leadership traits. Crafting a true “team culture” achieving effective communication / collaboration / knowledge exchange across teams;
  • Possess creative, innovative and entrepreneurial flair but retain a pragmatic and practical outlook by challenging issues and accounting for risk and consequence;
  • Contribute to the innovation agenda and sales drive into new clients;
  • To be a collaborator but be able to also demand answers or accountability of others;
  • Previous experience of financial P/L, budget management and forecasting;
  • The ability to identify and develop hardworking individuals and talent including diverse representation across all areas;
  • Taking the lead and speaking out with both peers and more senior staff;
  • Leadership and ownership by example, with the ability to communicate ownership and responsibility across the practice;
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft solutions and offerings
  • Experience of Consulting and/or consultative selling
  • Demonstrable success in negotiating, influencing and closing at Executive level
