Junior Data Science and Analytics – Recent Graduate

Atos is seeking recent university graduates to join our team specializing in Junior Data Science and Analytics. What you’ll do –

  • Help develop and evaluate models and algorithms to tackle critical business problems
  • Work with teams cross-functionally to assess and understand our data and business needs
  • Identify, collect, and work with large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including text data
  • Establish links across existing data sources and find new, exciting mashups
  • Perform data pre-processing and analyze data for use in an applied machine learning context
  • Generate, compile and discuss data findings; draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Create credibility with leaders and stakeholders by communicating data clearly and concisely, creating informative visualizations that intuitively display large amounts of data and/or complex relationships.

Minimum Qualifications –

  • Currently a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related fields
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Coursework in basic analytics as well as database design and structure.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, particularly for application on large data sets. You should be comfortable writing code. The better you are at it, the more efficiently you can explore the model space and find engaging ideas.
  • Basic knowledge of machine learning methods (i.e. familiarity with several methods: linear regression, logistic regression, naive Bayes, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL modeling and usage
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel)
  • Basic concepts around data visualization and report development

 

Desired –

The following knowledge or experience is a plus, but not required:

  • Experience and advanced capabilities on data visualization; exposure to BI suites and products (TIBCO SpotFire, Google Data Studio, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Hadoop Administration + Development in Kafka, Spark, Hive, HBase
  • Experience with public cloud environments (ideal: GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies and models
  • Knowledge of scientific stacks (in Python: NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn,)
  • Programming using any of the following: C#, C++, Java, JS, HTML, Spring boot, shell
  • Coursework (or work experience) involving data mining, machine learning, building algorithms, applied math and statistics
  • Experience with advanced Machine Learning / Deep Learning methods (DNN / TensorFlow, RNN)
